    • Role summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal and compliance department by providing administrative assistance, managing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, contributing to the success and growth of our organisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant local and international laws, regulations, and standards, particularly those related to fixed income securities in emerging markets.
    • Be up to date with all applicable regulatory materials, such as directives, regulations, any circulars, or similar regulatory documents.
    • Organise and manage client and counterparty procedures (onboarding, monitoring etc.)
    • Organise and manage client transactions monitoring for AML compliance.
  • Policy Implementation:
    • Prepare and update existing policies and procedures of the Company in relation to AML.
    • Assist the Head of Compliance in preparing annual regulatory AML and compliance reports.
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with these policies through regular training and communication.
  • Risk Management:
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
    • Closely cooperate with and assist the Head of Compliance to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations.
    • Liaise with internal/external auditors on any AML related matters.
    • Take part in all AML related discussions internally and externally
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitoring internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
    • Monitoring regulatory changes and ensure the dissemination of updates on regulations, rules or guidelines and periodic compliance changes to the company and its employees and carrying out compliance monitoring covering all operational areas.
    • Preparing and submitting regular compliance reports to the management team and regulatory bodies as required.
    • Ensure that all investments and other operational transactions comply with all relevant legislations, regulations and policies through appropriate control of systems in order to minimize and mitigate risks.
  • Advisory and Training:
    • Provide periodic AML training to company employees.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on the application of the Rules.
  • Incident Management:
    • Investigate and manage compliance breaches or incidents.
    • Implement corrective actions and improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)) are an advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably in emerging markets.
    • Proven track record of implementing and managing compliance programs.
    • Registration as a Sponsored Individual by Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is an added advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
    • Sound knowledge of basic Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in the financial services industry.
    • Strong drafting and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work unsupervised and make informed decisions.
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Desired Knowledge:
    • Operating Systems: Windows 10, 11, Linux (advantageous)
    • Administration of Active Directory and Google G Suite
    • Virtualization: VMware ESXi
    • Experience with Bloomberg and Swift software, collaborating with their support teams
    • Understanding of network structures, network security, and configuring network devices (Cisco, HP, Huawei)
    • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies (Shadow Copies, Veeam Backup)
    • Knowledge of VoIP technology (3CX, Grandstream)
    • Proficiency in monitoring tools like Zabbix
    • Email systems: G Suite, Exchange
    • Experience with server equipment is advantageous

As an Office Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the office and providing a friendly working environment for the team.

  • Day-to-day tasks:
    • Cleaning Maintenance: liaising with the cleaning company, expecting the facilities and ensuring cleanliness of all the premises, including common areas.
    • Office Supply: organizing the office layout and ordering stationery, food and equipment.
    • Vendor Coordination: liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning. Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers.
    • Technical support: coordinate with IT department on all office equipment. Ensuring all the equipment works properly.
    • Billing support: ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time. Ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
    • People support: assist in the onboarding process for new hires.
    • Travel support: address employees queries regarding business travel arrangements and visa support.
    • Events: plan in-house or off-site activities.
  • Requirements:
    • Proven Experience in Office Maintenance (though we are ready to consider the candidates without experience as well).
    • Attention to details and ability to work independently, initiative.
    • Strong communication skills.
